Welcome to Montecito Magazine

BY NANCY RANSOHOFF • ART BY PATTI ROBBINS (Gallery Los Olivos / PattiRobbinsArtist.com) Art,Wine & Food A s fall and winter kick into gear, our motto is “keep it local!” It took a few months for Montecito’s Upper Village and Coast Village Road shops and restaurants to refresh, remodel and restock following the debris flows of January 2018. But they are now open and look better than ever. The holidays are just around the corner, and now is the perfect time to shop and dine locally to support our merchants. Silverhorn fine jewelry (Silverhorn.com) opens its doors at a new space on Coast Village Road in mid-November while continuing to operate a shop at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara. Visitors to the new Design Studio will be able to view the designers in action, using Old World-style techniques to handcraft custom jewelry. Oliver and Espig Gallery of Fine Arts (OliverAndEspig.com), in partnership with Jewelmer, the premier source of South Sea pearl jewelry, has recently expanded its unique collection of South Sea golden pearl jewelry at its Upper Village gallery. Antoinette (AntoinetteBoutique.com) and its European lingerie space, IntimoAntoinette, have moved four doors up (between Occhiali Fine Eyewear and Sakana restaurant) from their previous space on Coast Village Walk. There you’ll find high-quality European clothing and accessories for every occasion. A new gallery and artist’s hub has opened in the former Santa Barbara Frame Shop & Gallery space in Arlington Plaza. Santa Barbara Fine Art (SantaBarbaraFineArt.com) represents artist-in-residence/co-owner Richard Schloss, who has painted California landscapes for 45 years. Richard is an original member of The Oak Group, a consortium of plein air painters whose works draw public attention to the beauty of our area’s endangered landscapes and generate funds to protect them. The gallery represents several other Oak Group artists, including original members Arturo Tello, Michael Drury and Larry Iwerks, and newer members Michael Enriquez, John Wullbrandt, Rob Robinson and Carrie Givens. 72 Montecito Magazine Fall 2018–Winter 2019
